In March 2022 I was admitted to Steve Biko Academic Hospital with severe bleeding in my urine and excruciating pain, just to be discharged the same day saying that they cannot do anything for me. The bathroom where I had to empty my own catheter bag was filthy. On discharge, the nurse instructed me to remove my own catheter!
