Young trainees from Joburg Ballet’s three developmental schools participated in their end of year performance in front of excited parents and proud teachers. The young dancers have been trained in classical dance at the Joburg Ballet’s satellite schools in Soweto, Alexandra and Braamfontein.

The aim of the satellite developmental schools is to take the art of classical dance to previously disadvantaged communities, to provide a safe environment for the kids, introduce them to the benefits of classical ballet and provide the possibility of a career in the performing arts.
